Dear Engineers,

How do we estimate price for schoepentoeters?
What is current market price for A516 Gr70?

Advance thanks for your help.

There are likely a bunch of ways.

You can scale up/down the estimate if you have the price of a simmilar one. The scaling factor would be a function of the amount of steel and expected linear inches of welding.

You could generate a cost from scratch using the above approach.

Ask a vendor for a budgetary estimate, Sulzer for one provides these.

Its mostly Shell who prefers these thingies. So if you are doing work for them (or work for them) then they should have a pretty good idear of the cost. I dont think they are unreasonable expensive as internals go.

Best regards

Morten

Is - or was - the "schoepentoeter" (inlet flow distributor design) proprietary to Shell? I thought it was...I could be wrong. In any event, if you have contacts at Shell they might be able to give you a pretty good idea of budget costs for same.

My estimate is $15,000.00 CDN (that's about $79.95 US).

Regards,

SNORGY.

It's not proprietary unless the ocmpany we just provided one in our design had an agreement with Shell :)

schoepentoeter is a deutch word - its a one of the little "whistles" made from cardboard with ricepaper at the open end and kids uses them e.g. new years eve to make a lot of noise.

Best regards
