Does anyone have any reference literature relating to the cost of arc flash injuries? (obviously the cost of a human life is difficult to account for, but if there are some supporting documents I would be grateful)

Ontario Hydro did a study a few years back on the cost of a serious survivable arc flash accident and it was $17.4M. I have the report somewhere and will dig it up when I get back from this trip.

Thanks Zog. In the UK there is no equivalent regulations (to NFPA 70) that require an arc flash analysis to be undertaken on an electrical installation, so we are trying to present a case to management for the need to do so. There is obvious great material on the internet in relation to equipment damage and less unfortunate graphic pictures of injuries, but like most things it comes down to money. Appreciate any info you have.
