Hi,
I have to calculate the venting size for an enclosure which houses a sugar pulverizer. The enclosure is reinforced concrete. The problem is the venting must be led to the outside of another big building through a long duct. The duct will be about 6m long. According to NFPA68, the venting size calculated could be as high as 23 sq.m. That's not practicable.
Could you please tell me if there are any other measures to solve the problem? Is it acceptable to install the rupture diaphram or venting panel at the top of the venting duct so that we don't need to correct the reduced pressure Pred so that we could possibly get a reasonable lower venting area?
Thank you very much.
