Hi, I am carrying out sound transmission loss analysis through a structure. I have a couple of doubts. How the acoustic domain (in my case it is air) and structure boundary in contact with the domain can be coupled ? And also how to use the absorbing boundary condition can be applied ?

Thanks

Looking for sound radiation from surfaces? Check out:

Theoretical Acoustics

Not exactly bedtime reading, but it is very well written. Chapter 7: "The Radiation of Sound" is thorough and relevant here. The book does cover more than just acoustics too - one for the Xmas list.

Thank you SomptingGuy and GregLocock.

I am carrying out the analysis in ANSYS apdl. I have doubt regarding coupling of acoustic domain and structure. That is how they can be connected either by using Glue option or creating contact pair ? And other doubt is regarding how the absorbing boundary condition can be applied ? I know that Fluid 129 element can be used but do I have to mesh it or not I have no idea how to use this element. Can anybody help ?

Thanks..
