Can someone explain the difference between a coupling capacitive voltage transformer and a capacitive voltage transformer. It may be only the carrier accessories but I want to be sure there no more to this than that.

A CVT is just a capacitive voltage divider. A CCVT includes a CVT plus in the metal base you'll find a 60/60 Hz drain coil, a protective gap, a grounding switch and some additional components for the carrier current coupling.

Normally CVT and CCVT are used interchangeably. Unless the description includes "with carrier" or "with carrier accessories", one cannot assume the inclusion of carrier accessories based on CCVT or CVT.
