Hi,

There's someone who know the differences between coupling or the contact in an assembly of pieces...?

I think the contact could give a result much real but why?

I'm looking too for some tutorials or references which could help me to understand the differences between the coupling or the contact in an assembly of pieces...

thanks for your help with Ansys!

I think you may be confusing coupling with constraint equations. Constraint equations are linear by nature whereas contact status will updated each iteration during certain types of analyses. Bonded contact in a linear analysis behaves very closely to that of constraint equations used to join dissimilar meshes.

I would advise you to consult the Ansys documentation. It is a teriffic source for this exact information and very indepth as well.

Good luck,
-Brian
