Dear All,

As the output frequency of the TR is a first indication of the rectification, single phase TR shows 100 Hz for full wave rectification. I'd like to ask if any body have an idea about output frequency of three phases TR.

Much smaller ripple amplitude than a single phase unit, and at 300Hz.

If it is a phase controlled unit then there will be all sorts of harmonic frequencies present too.

Dear Experts
can we imagine C.P.(Cathodic Protection) impressed current to have any degree of potential risk for becoming ignition source for flammable/combustible material carried through such pipelines?

Dear All,

Electrical spark at loss connection between negative terminal and structure shell during the first time operating impressed current CP system is one of most risky situation. Therefore safety precaution must be obeyed, also it's highly recommended to disconnect CP system during structure upgrade and maintenance to avoid any CP facilities damage.
Flammable Gases (such hydrogen) are presence at Cathode (especially buried structure) and high toxic gases (such as chlorine) at deep well anode ground bed.
Generally Impressed Current CP system is used since early 1950s to protect Oil and gas pipelines safely so far
