I am looking for info on the effect of soil types on pore water pressure measurments during piezocone tests. Did not see any previous threads on this. Any info regarding buildup of pressure at beginning of test or negative pressure is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The book is Cone Pen. Testing in Geotech. Practice by Lunne et al, Blackie, 1997. May be OOP. A library may have Penetration testing in the UK, pub. Thomas Telford, London, 1989.

Cone Pen. Testing in Geotech. Practice by Lunne et al, Blackie, 1997 is available on Amazon.com; some used books are available.

There is lots of infor on this subject depending upon what you are looking for. If it is classifying soil types on the basis of pore pressure use Robertson et al and the Bq parameter. There is a relatively new text on cone testing that would be helpful but I don't have the reference at hand. Say so if you want the reference.
