CPT rods string stability during penetration

Dear All,

I am looking for the information about "stability" of the cpt rods string during penetration.
It is depend from the type of soil, depth and load.
It is like feeling - when you have to stop penetrating to prevent the break of string and equipment.

PLEASE HELP TO FIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
