Dear All,

Hi..

In Coker Plant,total 8 no. of coke drums are there.Problem is like that in one of the coke drum ,crackes were observed due to severe cracking near skirt weld joint which is also observed after removing additional circumferential insulation for inspection ,other drums are also having similar cracks but this one is particuarly is having severly affected.

Do anybody has experienced about this similar cracking near skirt weld joint and if yes detail repair procedure used/any suggested good parties and if stress relief of the welds was avoided.

Typical Operating Coke Drum cycle :

1.Steamout to Fractionator 1/2 hr
2.Steamout to Blowdown 1/2 hr
3.Quenching 5.5 hr
4.Draining 1.5 hr
5.Unheading 1/2 hr
6.Decoking 3 hr
7.Reheading & Testing : 1/2
8.Preheating : 4 hr
Total : 16 hrs.
