I need to calculate crack width in unreinforced concrete section (tunnel lining) subjected to flexure and compression. It's pretty simple to find a tensile concrete strain under given loads, but how to determine the spacing between the cracks? If any design codes cover this subject?

Greatly appreciate your help!

What is the full title of this reference and is there way to locate it? thank you!

"EN 1992-1-1"; also known as Eurocode 2, can be purchased from British Standards Institution, amongst others.

drile007,

Thank you very much for all the information, it was very usefull. After all, the only way to control cracking in unreinforced concrete is to keep service stresses in compression or at least below allowable tension level.
