crash due to High quality in drawing

Hi
can any one tell whts the reason behind this scenario.
Ive have a top level assembly with two sub assembly say A.sldasm & B.sldasm. Then I created a new top2 assembly with A.sldasm as my component.Then i created a drawing views from the top1.sldasm with high quality .Then i went back to my Top.sldasm & i made my A.sldasm as lightweight & directly switched back to my drawing doc . Now my SW application crashed.

It would help us to know what hardware, drivers and SW version and SP you are running.

Most crashes can be attributed to sub-standard components (older video cards) and outdated hardware drivers.

I just re-read your other post which details your computer components.

Have you tried working withthis assembly on another computer? Does it also crash?

HI madmango
ive even tried this on high configuration machine which has zeon processor & 1 GB ram & 128MB graphics card . it even crashed on that Machine too.

Make sure you have done the basic computer clean up. Clean out the temp folder, defrag the HDD, turn off your AV when running the file. You can try turning off all add-ins to make sure it's not conflicting with the file.

Did have the AV off when you installed?

Try sending the file to your VAR and see if he crashes. If so then the file maybe corrupt. It could be a part of the assembly. The best way to test this is to open all the parts and sub-assemblies to make sure one of them are not corrupted. If a part or sub-assembly is corrupted it will cause the main assembly to crash. Not to say the main assembly isn't corrupted, it could be. Once you find the file he (the VAR) can send that file to SW, to get fixed... Of course that depends on the type of corruption in the file.
