Has anyone succesfully imported an ".ai" file from Adobe illustrator? While in Sketch Mode > Data from File, one has access to Adobe Illustrator {*.ai] format.

Whenever I try to access one of these files to my sketch nothing happens?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Illustrator also has a DXF export option. I've used that to bring in vector art in the past.

Depending on the complexity of the drawing, you might have a really tough time bringing this in, since Sketcher still has to apply dimensions and constraints to the imported geometry.

One thing you can do is divide up your drawing in Illustrator into separate layers, and then export it step-by-step. This eases up the load on sketcher.

What version of AI file are you trying to import?

I've found in Pro that AI V10 and AI CS2 format doesnt work but V8 and V9 will import with all entities.

I'm working with V10.

Do you think that is my problem?
