Hello everyone [bigsmile]

I've imported all parts already assembled from Catia V5 and my only way to modify these is using Workbench.

At the beginning I have 3 différents bodies (see picture attached).
The body 2 is 0.5mm in thickness. I want to modify its thickness from 0.5mm to 0.02mm. Then create 2 new bodies (4 and 5) which will have as shape the blue surface (that you can see on the first picture) that will be respectively equal to 0.5mm and 0.02mm in thickness (see picture).

How do I translate a fix body ?
Is it possible to modify the thickness of an original body (maybe by boolean operation) ?

I was able to create a body from the blue surface but I can't extrude it as it's a complexe surface and I can't choose a direction.
And I didn't find the way to translate a body.

I hope I was clear.

Thank you for your support.

Regards

François

You cant do any of this in Workbench. The intent was that you would do this in your native CAD package. If you need to modify the geometry, you need one of the Ansys geometry packages like Design Modeler or Spaceclaim.
