We are in the process of upgrading from NX4 to NX6. There is different behavior in NX6 for creating a Reference Set. The option to "Create Reference Set CSYS" appears to not be an option. The Ref Set origin is set to the Absolute CSYS.

Am I missing anything? What was the reasoning for removing this option?

We have a process here that generates a STEP file to match the GD&T datum origin with the Ref Set CSYS origin. It appears now that we will have to mandate that the model be created with the Absolute CSYS coincident with the GD&T datum origin.

Thanks.

This option was something which technically should have been removed 15 years or so ago as the original need for it went away when we re-architected Assemblies with the release of UG V10.0 in 1993. It was basically overlooked since it didn't really interfere with anything, at least not until we introduced support for exporting JT files in NX 4.0 at which point several issues were discovered and so the decision was made to remove this long obsolete option from NX 6.0.
