Hi all,

I would like to print colored images of front, left, and top views of an assembly to paste onto a box representing its volume. However, this requires that 1 inch of the printed color image is equivalent to 1 inch of the model. When I save the assembly to a jpeg or tiff, the image size is based on the zoom in the viewing window, not the model dimensions. Is there a way to create colored printouts that match the dimensions of the model?

Thanks,

If you have a known dimension in the model, you can rescale the exported image using photoshop or GIMP.

You'll need to calculate the scale factor based on this known dimension and a measurement from the image.

Thanks justkeepgiviner,

I looked into it some more and found out that in wildfire 3.0 (I had been using 2.0) that you can make colored images in drawing mode. I created an account with ptc.com and downloaded the upgrade to wildfire 3.0, and made the scaled color images in a drawing.
