HI guys,
i'll start of by saying i am new to the forum but have bin watching this forum for last 2 years or so now, so i decided to join.

As for my questin I have a bar with spiral flutes cut in it, here are the dimensions.

BAR STOCK
Diameter = .750"
lenght = 21.00"

FLUTES (6)
Starts = 6.0" from end of Bar
Flute Rad = .125"
Depth = .040"
Rate of twist = 360 deg over 13.500"
lead in & out = .500"

I tryed to creat this part with the coil command but could not get the R.125 to follow the coil corectly. I need some way of making a sketch to the coils normal to the coil centerline.

I have created parts similar to this on NX6 with helix command, but do not now how to do this on inventor 2010.
Any advices you guys would have would be great.
thanks

Red.
