Hey All

Im looking a piece of software will out put a 'G and M' NC Code where the input it a dxf or similar

I have a gas profiling machine that cuts profiles on the ends of Fork Lift Truck Forks so the programs and profiles are very simple
i.e. cuts one at a time. No need for nesting etc

All the progs I have seen so far are very expensive
for what I need
I hoping there is shareware/freeware/demo of a simpler option

TIA

If the profiles are simple you could do worse than learn a bit of G-code programming. It really isn't too hard.

Also, the only program I've used similar to your description, always needed tweeks to the code to start and end cutter paths.
It's called CAD-Link and requires you to draw the profile in CAD first.

I'm sure there's a program out there that does what you want, but try doing it "handraulically" first.

Thanks for the advice

I have since come across CAD link and it is about
the same price as ProCut which I was offered

I did some Gcode at college but its simply a time thing !

Spending £1500UK is better than me sitting about
trying to get with it again but I thought they may be software more suited to my simple cut than CadLink

Thanks
