Creating assemblies from parametrically created parts

Hello all,

I'm sure that some of you might have faced this problem before. My question is:

Let's say I have an assembly made of two parts but I have parametrically created those parts so that I have 3 configurations (from the design tables). That gives 9 assembly combinations assuming all combinations are compatible. Is there a way to create all the possible assemblies or should I create the design tables again in the assembly configuration?

If so how should I refer the dimension I want to change (D1@Sketch1@Partname)?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Recommended for you

Design tables at the part level establish part configurations & control feature suppression states & dimension variations.
Design tables at the assy level establish assy configurations & control which part configurations are shown.

Any link that could be useful for the assembly level design tables?

Thanks

The shortcut to design tables...

Before making the table, make configurations, then make configuration-specific changes. Then create the table in auto mode and the config-specific parameters will be included.

You don't even need to make all your configurations. Make 2 or 3, then add the rest of the configs from the table.

Thank you guys!

Your help was extremely helpful!
