I am new to Catia v5 (Inventor & Pro/E background), so my terminology may be wrong. I want to create "user defined features" (Or what ever they are termed in Catia) that can be used within CatParts. Features such as AS5202 fitting ports, pipe thread ports, etc., that I can choose there placement, maybe edited a few perameters (Thread depth) and the feature is created in my Catpart.

Can anyone direct me towards any free tutorial info?

Thanks in advance for any help!

As a first step, refer to the Catia V5 hep documentation.
To find the correct page, search for "Managing User Defined Features" with the search mode set to "Exact Phrase"

The resultant page includes useful info to get you started.
Good luck

There are two things to look for. The first is available with any basic CATIA License. It's the PowerCopy. It does exactly what you are asking for, however it places all of the constuction geometry into your part. The users' are then allowed to change them to their hearts content.

The second is the User Defined Feature (aka UserFeature or UDF). This works similarly to the PowerCopy, however it puts the feature in your tree as a "black box". The only exposed parameters or sub-features are those that the author choses to let you change. This requires the Product Knowledge Template licenses. KT1 is the Run-Time license that allows you to use a pre-existing UDF. The PKT License allows you to both use and create your own UDFs

Product Knowledge Template also lets you define and use something called Product Templates which are similar to UDFs, but work at the Assembly Level - you define entire parts, not just features of a part.
