Hello all,
I am looking for information about stress relaxation in unfilled PEI.
Specifically, I have a design where the sustained load induces a ~3000psi stress in the unfilled ultem. Looking for creep data for room temperature PEI to determine whether this is acceptable for long term service.

any thoughts or references would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!!!

Have you tried the manufacturer?
Most will have a set of isochronous stress/strain data. They just don't tell anybody unless you ask.
Google brings up a few.

Unfilled materials are pretty poor for creep.

Politicians like to panic, they need activity. It is their substitute for achievement.
