Creep testing of PEEK

Hi,

I am looking for data that can be used to design a valve seat made of PEEK 450g that will tell me what kind of compressive creep properties it has. I ahve not been able to find ASTM D2990 data for it. I am just trying to ensure that during our pressure proof test, we will not develop too much permanent set in the material. Test is about 48hrs at 20ksi compressive or seating stress.

During proof test take the plunger out. Pressure test is for breakage safety reasons and the valve seat should not suffer from it.

Sorry, didn't explain well. It is a ball valve. Also, there is an issue of a sustained 10ksi spring load while the valve sits on the shelf. Where can I find cold flow data related to that?

Victrex at one stage published isochronous stress strain curves under a number of conditions for several grades.

Solvay may also have data.
