Crest Locus

Hi,

I am looking at developing a layout of a water treatment plant that is perilously close to a public footpath.

Does the Crest Locus rule apply with chlorinated water? I guess it would, hence I would like to include some form of physical barrier.

I have only used the crest locus rules for fuel storage. Does you water storage require a bund or some other form of secondary containment? If not, then I don't think a screen would be necessary.

Thanks BJI, Previously I have also only used crest locus for dangerous goods.

Yes, we are bunding the tanks, which "common sense" would then infer screening requirement.

Chlorinated water at a water treatment would not be any more "hazardous" than potable water. There may be a potential hazard from the catastrophic failure of a tank. However, I am not aware of any setback requirements for catastrophic failure of water tanks.
