My question has to do with the critical fiber length. If my composites temperture changes from zero degrees to a temperature around 600C what happens to my critical fiber length. I can assume that the fiber length is going to change, but as my fiber grows does my ineffective length of the fiber grow as well?

The biggest variable in determining critical fiber length is the shear strength between matrix and fiber. This interfacial shear strength in turn is governed by the relative shear moduli of the constituents and physical/chemical relations at the interface. Since the modulus of most matrices has strong temperature dependencies it is very likely that shear strength will vary with a magnitude much greater than fiber length change.
