Hello,

I have never heard of Cronidur 30, but the chemistry that you supplied above is super close to AISI 420 SS (with a trace of Ni, Cu, Al and Sn). Could you give more information on chronidur 30? What is the application for this material?

The application is a gear. I only heard of the other material from reading a trade artical. I don't know all the properties of Cronidur 30.

As a casting I have produced lot of castings for paper mill applications. The only change was that Carbon was 0.35% instead of 0.3%. This can be machined and later hardened and tempered to desired hardness.
