Cross bracing after joist sistering

Thanks for all the help. I just finished sistering my cracked kitchen floor joists with 3 2x8 lvls. Wasn't fun but it the result is amazing...

But I have a few questions.I removed 4 joist bay worth of cross bracing during the sistering process. Do I:

1. need to replace the cross bracing? 2x2 or 2x4?

Or

2. Install blocking? Can it be smaller dim than joist/sister?

(Note 2x10s Doug fir 16" O.C with 2x8 lvl sisters)

Cross bracing is not required by code. If the floor feels stiff enough, I wouldn't bother. Blocking will perform the same function.

If I go solid blocking, are dimensions smaller that 2x10 ok?

Unless I'm misunderstanding the situation, typically cross bracing and blocking is used for a variety of purposes. In any case, I would go with solid blocking - and yes, varying dimensions of the blocking is fine - it largely depends on how you integrate it into your framing. If you have access to the flooring above your newly sistered joists and the blocking, I would edge nail whatever flooring you have to the blocking (4" O.C. should probably work out). If not, I would consider taking a metal strap from below and nailing the blocking together with the strap and taking it to the existing line of cross bracing/straps there. You just want to keep everything tied together.
