I had a question about applying crosshatch to multiple selected areas. When we have text on a part that would be colored black in finishing we currently solid cross hatch the text entities. When you do multiple select on this the cross hatch will only come in as the andled line default, and not the solid. Does anyone know how I could get the solid hatch applied to all entities with out having to go and select each one individually? Even if you have a better idea on how to do this, I am open to suggestions.

In SW2004 you need to go to Tools/Options/Area/Hatch Fill and make the adjustments there. This will be the new default hatch that is applied rather than the "stock" angled font.

In SW2005 the when you select multiple areas and adjust the hatch settings all areas upddate with the new settings as they should.

Perhaps you could explain a bit further why you need the solid htching you your (presumed) engraving efforts? I've done a fair amount of engraving of text, and only provide the outline of the letters to the shop. I've never had a need to solid-fill any sort of hatch.

Techically we do not need to fill in the text, but the company and the drafting department are pretty set in their ways. The text is either engraved or in ost cases they are labels that we have made.
