Crosshatching in Section View 3

Good afternoon, I just started my drawing and I did my first ever section view and low and behold, it put crosshatching in the section view and I don't really want it. If it matters, this is an assembly and the crosshatching covers the whole face of the assembly and that is why I want it gone, but I have not been able to turn it off or delete it. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You can try double clicking on the hatching to bring up the Area Hatch/Fill Properties box. Make sure Material crosshatch is unchecked and click on None. If that does not work you can try Tools - Options - System Options. Under Drawings - Area Hatch/Fill. Click on None.

If the hatching is covering the "entire face" then I would look where you are sectioning your assembly. I have only seen it crosshatch sectioned material.

Go to Tools>Options>Area Hatch/Fill and select None to turn it off.

Click on any hatched area and the Area Hatch/Fill Manager should become available.
De-select Material crosshatch
Select None
Select View in the Apply to drop down list.

If the assembly consists of parts of the same material, the hatching may be aligned and may appear to cover the whole area. You can also selectively adjust the scale and angle of the hatch lines per area or component.

Thanks CorBlimeyLimey, that did the trick. Actually it is mostly brass, but it has a lot of o-rings in it and some stainless steel screws and some steel springs.
