Could anyone please tell me how to estimate Crude Oil Atmospheric Tank Losses due to volatilization?

Is there any rule of thumb about this particular problem?

Thank you very much

Knario,
Chapter 19 in API MPMS serves a methodology to estimate evaporation loss from fixed roof tanks.

Knario:

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a software program called "Tanks" which is free and can be downloaded at:

www.epa.gov/ttn/chief/software/tanks/index.html

It calculates the vapor emissions (i.e., losses) from storage tanks.

EPA's Tanks and and API's Ch19.3 are derived from the same basis, if that is any consolation.
