CS for Hi Chloride service

Hi,
I am in a industry that they use "carbon steel" for their water with the following spec:
T > 80 deg C
Chloride = 3000 to 8000 mg/L
PH = 7 to 10.5
I have seen couple of plant that they follow that. Is that correct from your point of views?

And they get continual uniform corrosion attack. Right?
If you don't mind a system that requires ongoing maint. and the Fe in the water doesn't matter then it is fine.

At that temp and Cl you can't use a 3xx series stainless. The best corrosion resistant option would be a lean duplex stainless alloy.

Thank you for your reply.
I don't know, maybe.
The corrosion allawances are 0.125 inch for those lines. Is that a big number from your point of views, as material specialist?
And other question: in some lines that PH is around 9.5 can I say there is "protective" layer which protect the CS pipe?
