I have a few questions related to burden. If anyone has any links to burden related info on CT's I would really appreciate it. I have a question about control cable length (#10 copper stranded) and its effect on burden. What is considered too long a length from a burden standpoint? How do you calculate burden on control cable for cts? When a meter manufacturer says we can use non revenue accuracy cts and it can be corrected at the meter thru programming, what does that mean exactly? If I put too much burden on a ct application will the accuracy not be .3 % and that is the flaw of too much burden? If I have too much burden on a ct with no load being seen, will this be seen at the meter as a small load to the meter? Can someone explain the accuracy class and the ohm burden values of a ct so I can understand it? Any comments on this topic will be appreciated.
