For those sole proprietors out of state, how did you handle the "agent" part of your business application? I see online you can pay someone to do it, is that the only option?

Is that an engineering firm question or is that a state level item like foreign tax authorization or whatever that term is that I can't recall. I'm not licensed in CT so I don't know the framework. (i.e. Texas has requirements for sole proprietors that they get a firm authorization, but it's pretty simple to do). I'm more used to "agent" being a term when it comes to foreign (not in the state) tax authority or whatever it's called.

They want a "Agent" for the company that lives in CT. I am SP and don't live there. Foreign domestic it appears.
