Hi,
I am very weak on electronics and current DAQ and require a bit of help.
I have a PPI dyna/mag electric mixing motor and I require a transformer and a NI CompactDAQ to obtain the current. The motor is fairly small (180VDC, 0.46Amps) and operates at a constant speed much like a rheometer. I am yet to find one suitable for the low current.

Thank you very much for your time and I hope I have given you enough information to help.

Easiest is probably a Hall effect transducer from LEM or a similar manufacturer. It will give you an output of typically 0-10V DC or 4-20mA. Such a device will require a simple power supply.

Transformers don't work with DC, so forget that idea.
