Dear All,

I created a custom view in Modeling environment. I created a drawing view from this custom view in the Drafting environment. I switched to Modeling and changed the custom view's orientation and I used the MB3 to save it. When I switch back into the drafting environment I find that the existing drafting view from the custom view isn't updated.
Is it possible to update the modified custom 3D view in the drawing sheet?
Thanks a lot

Have you tried this update command?
I have tried all Update possibilities in the Part Navigator tree and the Tools, Update menu.

Drafting views provide a snapshot of the model when they are placed and are in general not associative to the model view. There is a relatively easy way to reorient your drafting view, but other drafting entities (dimensions, section lines, etc) may lose their associativity. To reorient your drafting view: [ol][li]enter modeling application, right click in a blank area and use the 'orient view' command to orient your view to your custom view[/li][li]orient your WCS to the current view (Format -> WCS -> Orient...) and save a datum csys on the WCS[/li][li]switch back to drafting, right click on your view and choose Edit[/li][li]using the orient view tool, you can pick the Z axis of the datum csys for the view normal and the X axis, the view orientation will update[/li][li]reattach dimensions and other entities as necessary[/li][/ol]

Hi cowski,
I'm interesting to your solution, but I can't replicate this workflow.
Can you provide with a simple video ?
This solution is still valid on NX 8 and with master model approach ?

Thank you...

Using NX 8 and TC8.3
