Custom Length Exterior (decorative) porch column.

Am replacing a existing, exterior load bearing column (on a porch). I want one that kind of has that Greco-Roman look and is circular......the problem I am having is: the length is kind of odd-ball: 7'-7 1/2". I have seen custom size metal ones.....but I can't find anyone who sells them. Any ideas?

Can you use a 6x6 in there and get one of those split columns and have it cut down by a trim carpenter?

I'm thinking I'd like a metal one....but I can't find one that you can custom cut.
