How do I change the cross hatch on Custom Symbol -> Datum Target 1 after I have placed it on the drawing?

I am unable to find it. Anyone have an idea? I am checking the documentation now, but thought I would ask.

Thank you.

Justin

OK, I should have done that.

Left click on symbol
Right click, select edit
Click edit symbol pieces display
Click crosshatch (or object)
Click Edit Text Preferences
Edit the information
Click OK through

There may be another way, this is what I figured out.

Jackley,

I checked what you have told. But once you edit the hatching the Custom Symbol breaks (explodes) into pieces, it is no more a custom symbol! And I was not able to delete these pieces also. To avoid this you need to tick ON "Edit Symbol Pieces" option back, before you exit the edit symbol dialogue.

One observation, your first step "Left click on the symbol" is not necessary (you wasted one click!), you can directly right click the symbol to bring edit menu. This applies to most of the objects in ug.

I did not have that problem. I will look into it, but perhaps the Edit Symbol Pieces is already clicked.

As far as the first click, don't get stuck on the details.

I just created a custom symbol, specifically with this posting it was a datum target 1, and it is still a custom symbol after I edit the crosshatching.
