Hi guys:

I want to know, how can I configure separate tool libraries,
each one independent from the other one, for example:

and I want to know how can I select the library, with some customized toolbar or C++ programing.
I am using NX6 update version .

tool_libraries_1--- Iscar tool1, wnt tool2, Iscar tool2
tool_libraries_1--- Iscar tool3, wnt tool4, Iscar tool6
tool_libraries_1--- Iscar tool7, wnt tool8, Iscar tool4

Thanks.

Hi again, I want this archives separated, tool_database.dat.

For example:
tool_database_IP.dat.
tool_database_LM.dat.
tool_database_PO.dat.

And know how can I choose concrete tool database, of these three ones. I have yo customize tool bar or do some C++ code
on some archive??

Thanks.

You can have separate configuration files that point to custom tool libries.

You could create a macro to load them and assign the macro to a toolbar.

This is the quick and simple way

John is right - you need separate libraries.
Create a copy of the entire resource\library\tool folder for each machine.
Then create a copy of cam_general.dat (or whatever configuration you use) for each machine in the custom folder. Edit each one, and change LIBRARY_TOOL to point to the different paths.
Now changing a configuration will change the tool library that is read. If you do this a lot, save a role while each configuration is set, and then the role change will change the connfiguration.

Sorry:

I don't know how to do this.

change LIBRARY_TOOL to point to the different paths

Can you explain me I am so new user on NX, sorry.

Thanks.

How can you redirect,

each tool database? tool_database_1.dat, tool_database_2.dat

tool_database_3.dat

Where Ihave to go ti UGii some fime to relocate this three databases?

I want to have tool libraries separated,
tool_database_1.dat,tool_database_2.dat etc

I have to copy the entire tool folder?
Located on NX6\MACH\resource\library\tool
and change the name of the folder for example?
tool2

Later go to cam_general.dat and add the LIBRARY_TOOL2
on tool2 folder.

And for finishing, do a macro and assign a toolbar to this macro.

I think I am going well but I am missing something.

Could anybody help me please.

Let's start at the beginning.

Why do you need separate tool libraries?
There is a lot of work required to build multiple libraries, especially if they have duplicated data.

I need this customization,
because my boss tell me to configure in this way.

I have customized a tool bar, with tool libraries 1 and tool libraies 2, but I don't know how can I link this tool libraries separated to Mach\resource\library\tool1 folder and tool2 folder, maybe by macros?? I don´t know how to link a specific tool and holder database. Like tool database_1.dat
and tool_database2.dat

I have tested some ways and I get errors...

Thanks

Another point is, how can I link a journal to a customized tool_database.dat

For example tool_database_yasda.dat and tool_database_hermle.dat

I want to get this tool database with a customized tool bar on NX, and inside this tool bar insert the journals. I have configured the tool bar, but I don't know how can I link this tool bar to the databases, separately on NXCAM.

For example, I want to mill one piece with this tools, tool_database_yasda.dat and with other part I want to use other tools, this ones for exmaple tool_database_hermle.dat

Have you read the documentation?
Have you attended the CAM customization class?

Hi Mark:

No I so new user on NXCAM module.

Is any information on NXopen documentation?

Or how can I know the steps to customize it.

Thanks.

There is help documentation on the library system and customization. It is a separate kit, so be sure it is installed on your system.

GTAC can also help you out if you log a call.
