I have a customized parts list that is not updating.
This parts list is used to communicate information downstream when a drawing is released for production and so it does not/can not exist on the drawing if the drawing is not yet to that point. As such, I've created a parts list and set it up as a table template, so that when an assembly is ready for release, the parts list can be dragged onto the drawing.
The parts list has three components.
1. A parts list which is updating perfectly.
2. A row with sheet information that is using properties such as <W@$SH_MASTER_PART_NAME>, which updates perfectly.
3. A row with properties that reference the assembly model (such as DESCRIPTION). This is not updating and does not even if I right click and select update table.
I currently have the problem row set up similar to a title block, using the DB_DWG_TEMPLATE_DESCRIPTION attribute callout in the cell, but it goes blank when I drag the table into my drawing.
I simply need to know the syntax to put in my cell in my parts list template's header so that the cell updates with attributes from the assembly file.
FYI - my parts list is similar to the "assembly_english" and "assembly_metric" tables that come with NX. Mine is unique in that I added another row at the bottom (by where these files say "PARTS LIST" which is where I would like to place the attributes from the assembly
