Hi, I am conducting 2D orthogonal cutting of certain material and I want to compare the results of cutting force from different cutting speed.
So for example, I have using 50mm/s,100mm/s and 150mm/s, my question is, should I take cutting distance or the step time constant?
If I take the same step time (0.01s) for all 3 simulation, eventually they will have different cutting distance.
If I take the same cutting distance (1mm) for all 3 simulation, then they will have different step time at first.
I am currently using approach 2, but I am not sure if it is correct. Or both of these approach do not matter as long as the cutting force is stable at certain cutting distance?
Thank you very much.
