Cutting plane

Using Catia v5 R19, sometimes I need to work on details that have the view blocked by another portion of the part. What i was wondering is, can I cut a part using a specified plane and then keep that view to work? Basically, can i no-show half of a solid through a plane?

Try using section view.
Section View will make the section cut and show all the geometry beyond the section cut plane.
