Cutting PVC pipes.

Hello:

Anybody out there knows a better way to cut off PVC pipes than with a mechanical saw . Currently we saw them and then scoop out the plastic burr....pretty time consuming; IS there a PVC pipe/tube cutting machine that cuts clean.

I am talking about 6"OD pipes.

At a PVC pipe manufacturing plant they use a flying cutoff machine with a rotating cutoff blade and chamfer the OD on one end of the pipe. The burr left in the ID is small and is disregared. The other end is then transferred to a heating station and then to a bell forming station where and expanding mandrel forms the bell and inserts the rubber seal.

They make from 3" to 12" both supply and waste water pipe.

Depends on what volume you're doing. Mechanical saws are fine. Deburring should literally take 1 to 2 seconds with a twist-a-burr type of tool.
