We have a 2000Watt CO2 laser and have been asked to try and cut tantalum. I don't know what specifications the metal will be (IE: thickness or shape). Given what little information I have, does anyone know what type of cutting conditions I could try? What assist gasses work best? Cutting speeds? I haven't recieved any material yet and I don't want to waste it experimenting.
