Hi everyone, I took the CWI exam a couple months ago and I didn't pass the practice exam, so I have to retake that test. Does anyone know where I can find more information related to this exam. There is a copy of the test boolet of past exams, where can I find it? Any clue to help me in this exam
Thanks for your reply

The body of knowledge indicates that Part B (practical) of the exam covers more than just evaluation of plastic weld replicas and tensile test specimens.

For more on content of Part B click
In addition to ging through the Visual Inspection Workshop Reference Manual (VIW-M....it has sample questions)you must be familiar with the Part B Specifications and know how to apply it when evaluating tensile, weld and bend test specimens.
and that will be good for at least 70% of the exam. The rest is based on some simple NDE stuff, and basic welding technology fundamentals.

Since it is hard to come by some sample plastic weld replicas, you should consider signing up for the 1 day Visual Inspection Workshop offered by AWS. This is held on a Friday (day 5 of regular CWI exam prep seminar), the day before the CWI exam.

During the 1 day AWS seminar, the instructor will cover the part B specs and will supervise a hands-on workshop..which will entail use of the use of tools from a toolkit, similar to the one you will be using in the exam.
