cylindrical centreline not working

we still use UG V18.0.6.1 and have a problem within drafting whereby the cylindrical centre line will not pick any cylinder on the drawing .. period (sections or views). any ideas as to what I should be trying ..

In the utility symbol dialog, make sure that the selection filter is set to cylindrical face. I think it defaults to 'control point' which will not allow you to select cylinders.
 
Try making hidden edges visible in your section view when placing the symbol, then make them invisible.
 
This not work:
1. In half section view and revolve section view - not faces display.
2. If you use drawing member view with EXTRACT edge option and view consist only edges - not faces.
In Preference\Drawing set "Display and Emp..sis" options for display faces in drawing view.
 
Cylindrical centerlines can be a pain. They also lose associativity in the master model concept when the model is unloaded. You may consider using "block centerline"
