When designing the roof beam, one of the load combination is D + 0.75 Lr + 0.75W .
To design the post under the beam, I always use the reaction from the beam (assuming the above equation governs).
Is there any California Building Code requirement that we have to use the D + 1.00 Lr + 1.00 W loading for the post design to support the beam (instead of D + 0.75 Lr + 0.75W)?
