I was wondering if anyone could help me with some quick instruction.

I have been assessing a large propellor shaft and have been presented witha table of damage equivalent data.

I appear to have a damage equivalentload set which I can input into my FE model. However could anyone explain what the significance of the output stress would be. Is it something which I could compare to say an allowable Yield or an endurance limit?

Any help would be most appreciated

Thanks

Stuart
