Damping coefficient selection for simulation 1

I am trying to us SolidWorks Simulation linear dynamics for vibration analysis. However, it appears that damping is calculated by manually selecting a viscous damping coefficient rather that calculating the the damping from each material. Is there any way that I can estimate a global damping factor to calculate Q factors, or is the best solution to perform vibration testing to identify Q factors experimentally. Ideally being able to simulate Q factors would be nice, but I am questioning how accurately SolidWorks Premium can calculate Q factors due to the nature of its damping modeling. Would it be acceptable to do a parametric study while varying the damping factor?

Calculating damping is notoriously difficult, measuring it is easy. I'd add that for many materials it varies with frequency and amplitude, but you've got to start somewhere.
