Hello!
With the introduction of ANSYS 8.1, there now seems to be two methods to represent material damping in a full harmonic response analysis (HROPT,FULL). They are:
---reference to exclusively the FULL method in the harmonic analysis--
a. MP,DAMP: Stiffness matrix multiplier representing viscous damping in the full method
d. MP,DMPR: Constant damping ratio per material which does not change with the excitation frequency.
Which of the above methods implements the 'complex modulus' approach?
Iam confused about this!
Any advice would be very helpful.
