Has anybody been able to print the date-time on a ProE print (laser printer 11x17)? Special softwares out there? Tecumesh has one, but it seems combursome.

I dont like using the Date-Time option in the Print Manager, since it changes the Format.

Thanks.

I want to show the time and date when a drawing was printed. ProE has such a function when using the Print Manager, but this causes the page to shift to the right and lose some of the drawing format.

You can add a note to the drawing using '&todays_date' as the text, and the current date will show up. But it will be static. Once it's there, it won't change to the current date the next time you print the drawing. ProE is lacking in things like this.

Try investigating your "Printer Manager". Our printer adds a stamp on the plots when it prints them. This software can add the "modified date & time" code also; which we don't use.

There is a round about way to doing this using modelcheck. Modelcheck allows for a parameter to report date when it was last run. Simply add this parameter to your drawing as a note and run modelcheck before each printing. Unfortunately I havne't done this trick in a year, so I'm thin on the details such as the parameter name etc.

Hope this helps,
Scott
