Hello friends

I have two days using NX6 (before I used NX3), I have a problem with this new version.
How can I get the same lenght and height in all new datum planes that I create?, or how can I change those dimensions in datum planes existing?.
In NX3 all datum planes had the same lenght and height when I create a new document.
Thanks for your tips.

Are you sure that all Datum Planes created in NX 3.0 had the same height and width? What about Datums created relative to something, like the face of a solid?

But are you complaining the NX 6.0 Datum Planes can be edited so that they are not 'square' or is it something else?

And more to the point, why do you even care?

Hi John

When I worked in NX3 al datum planes were equal squares, and for my designs use all of them with the same form, help me to "find" quickly the position of datum planes for my sketches.
And in the case of NX6, I have to touch the grips in the corner and extend one by one.
In resume, create new datum planes with the same form (equal squares)is better to me for creating new models.

Thanks John for your comments.

BTW, when editing the size of a Datum plane in NX 6.0, after selecting the Datum to edit it and the 'handles' appear, if you place your cursor over one of the handles, press MB3 you'll find an option labeled, 'Symmetic'. Select it and when you drag any of the corner handles the 'shape' of the Datum will remain 'square'. And once you've changed the size of a Datum, if you again press MB3 over a 'handle' you will now find on option which will 'Reset Plane Size' back to what it was originally.

Thanks a lot for your comment, this is the answer for my question. The new datum plane "grow" symmetrically from 0,0,0 as I change his dimensions.

Thanks for your patience
